Greater Victoria Regional Arts Awards returns to celebrate local artists and arts organizations
* Nomination deadline extended to end of day Monday, September 23, 2024
Victoria, Canada (June 22, 2024)—The seventh annual Greater Victoria Regional Arts Awards returns to celebrate and honour the diverse work of local artists and arts organizations from across the region over the last year.
A total of eight awards will be granted to local artists and organizations through the Professional Arts Alliance of Greater Victoria (ProArt) at the seventh annual regional arts awards ceremony to take place at a regional venue in October 2024.
“Arts and culture is an important part of what makes for an engaged and considerate life here on Lekwungen land. Recognition through the arts awards program is an excellent way to support the work that artists and arts organizations have produced in the past year. This is a great opportunity to come together as a community to acknowledge and celebrate arts and culture in the greater Victoria region,” says ProArt Administrator Doug Jarvis.
