Jessica Ruth Freedman is a Victoria, Canada based contemporary painter working in acrylic, ink, and mixed media.
A former modern and ballet dancer, Jessica’s artwork explores the relationship between the natural world and physical and mental environments through movement, architecture, and music. Inspiration for her ‘Modern Botanicals’ painting style is drawn from archived images during her travels which she couples in contrast with forms and flourishes informed by modernist architecture and jazz.
Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts - Major in Dance and Minor in Fine Arts - from Simon Fraser University, and has exhibited both locally and internationally. Her work is in private and public collections worldwide.
