Event Description
The Belle blouse is a lovely and feminine 1940’s vintage inspired blouse from In-House Patterns. This beautiful blouse features a gathered front yoke seam and sleeveless dropped shoulder styling with stitched waistline pleats that define the waist and allow for smooth lines when the blouse is tucked into the perfect high-waisted pencil skirt. Make it in View A with an ultra feminine pussy bow tie collar or View B with the very versatile rolled collar.
During this course you will learn how to read the pattern, transfer pattern markings and make small and full bust adjustments. We will also cover some tips and techniques for working with blouse weight fabrics and show you a few tricks that will help you achieve a polished and professional finish.
This is an “intermediate” level sewing pattern making it perfect for those with some previous garment sewing experience who want a challenge, or more seasoned sewers who want to elevate their skills. We recommend blouse weight cottons or linens for novice sewers, but more advanced sewers are welcome to bring in more challenging fabrics like crepe-de-chine, georgette or silk charmuese.
This workshop includes a printed copy of the Belle blouse pattern sized 0 – 16 with D-Cup. All sizes are included in the pattern along with an assembly instruction booklet. For more information about the pattern please visit http://inhousepatterns.com/products/belle-bow-blouse. You will need to purchase your fabric, interfacing, and buttons as well as preshrink/steam your fabric if necessary before the first session. This pattern is not suitable for plaids or stripes.
