Event Description

_____RYAN MCNALLY______
While he’s best known for his interpretative playing of traditional acoustic blues, jazz and old time music, audiences can’t help but notice the influence that Northern living has had on his music. For the past 13 years McNally has called Whitehorse, YK his home. Originally from rural southern Quebec, Ryan first discovered jazz and blues by uncovering a huge collection of ‘78 records that belonged to his grandfather. Then, as a teen, his curiosity for the sound and history anchored his love for the genres and it’s only grown stronger since. His first album Down Home (2012), was recorded live by CBC North and received a feature on the popular radio show Saturday Night Blues, hosted by Holgar Peterson.
In 2017, his second album, Steppin’ Down South was nominated for Blues Artist Of The Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards. That year Ryan also had the privilege and opportunity to perform for Prince William and Princess Kate during their visit to the Yukon. McNally has become known for his diversity as a multi-instrumentalist. He plays guitar, harmonica, mandolin, violin and banjo, all in many different styles. Whether performing solo or with his band, his music is grounded in the legacy of the generations of players that came before him. All the while he continues to push the boundaries of his own signature sound.

_____SALTWATER HANK_____
Born in Prince Rupert, BC, and a member of the Gitga’at community, Tsimshian folk artist Saltwater Hank resurrects stories of the land, loss, and absurd circumstances and shines them through a sepia lens, witnessing ageless characters with hearts and lives on the line.

We are happy to announce that Vinyl Envy is back to hosting live music on our stage!!
With the help of FACTOR and Creative BC from Sept 17th we welcome a weekly lineup of stellar artists to our intimate record store and stage.

Here's the nuts and bolts of it...

We are operating within the guidelines of Step 3 of the B.C Restart Plan.
Because of this our capacity right now is limited to 30. We will be selling tickets in pairs only. The tickets are seated and safely distanced so bring a friend from your bubble.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance through the Eventbrite event page. If tickets remain they will be available at the door on the night of the show. Seat allocation is first come first serve. You decide where you wish to sit. We also have a private patio/smoking area at the side of our building for you to use.

Vaccine check at the door? Yes. We need to play by the PHO rules, no exceptions. Masks are not required to be worn when seated but please wear one all other times. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available at the door. There will be sanitization of all high-contact surfaces before and after events and sanitization of high-contact surfaces that are used by multiple parties (bathroom, door handles etc) while events are in progress.
We want to ensure that all our guests are comfortable in our space and that you are aware of what to expect ahead of time. It's a small space where everyone needs to feel safe.

Thank you for your support and understanding and can't wait to see y'all!!
