Call for Artists: Chalk Artist

The Vancouver Visual Art Foundation (VVAF) is currently offering a paid opportunity for a chalk artist to share their work with the public.

We are looking for a chalk artist to join us at our summer events program Art Downtown every Friday at Cathedral Square (566 Richards St, Vancouver), between 10:30am - 2pm until September 11th. We would love to have you colour the space with your chalk art.

VVAF has partnered with the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) to introduce Art Downtown, an exciting new program to connect the Vancouver community with local artists. Art Downtown is an outdoor live painting event that allows artists to exhibit their work, to connect with the public, and share creativity.

Due to the current pandemic, social distancing will be in effect and controlled by staff at each of our events to ensure all artists feel safe and comfortable.


The dates for Art Downtown are as follows:

Cathedral Square (566 Richards St, Vancouver):
July: 31
Aug: 7, 14, 21 & 28
Sept: 4 & 11
