This show marked the first live music concert at the Rio, and I went out of curiousity. How was Bend Sinister going to pull off an event where the audience is seated and keep them entertained? Well, they did. It was EPIC: the sound was flawless, the visuals cool but, most of all, Bend Sinister put on a huge stage show. I lost count of all the musicians that performed that night (trumpet players, cellos, backup singers, etc).
It sounded like a mash of Queen, Beatles, Elton John: a piano driven arena rock show that filled the Rio with layers of sound and vision. Lead vocalist, Dan Moxon has an amazingly capable and clear voice, which shines live as well as on their new cd, Stories of Brothers, Tales of Lovers. 400 people came out and left blown away. I am really impressed. Go BIG! Posted: Nov 5, 2008
