John Barney Weaver studied at the Art Institute of Chicago before working at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. In 1966 he moved to Canada and worked at the Alberta Provincial Museum. He now runs a studio in Hope, BC, with his daughter, Sara, and his son, Henry.
Weaver's artwork can be seen in museums, galleries, private and public institutions, and public spaces.
