About

Creating Climate Resilience

since 2022
Creating Climate Resilience is a Victoria-based initiative which cultivates people's emotional resilience to climate change through knowledge mobilization, community-building and arts-based climate emotions workshops. We envision a world in which every person has access to the resources, supports and knowledge they need to take meaningful action on climate change while maintaining their mental wellbeing. Our Founder, Sabrina Guzman Skotnitsky M.A. is a climate justice advocate, artist and researcher who has been in the climate movement for over ten years. She is a self-taught artist, primarily in abstract painting and mixed media, the majority of which explores environmental and mental health themes. She is a trained facilitator, including certifications from Spring Strategies and the Scherer Leadership Centre, with a background in solutions-focused coaching through Erickson Coaching International.
