About

John Doheny & The Professors of Pleasure

These five professors from New Orleans’ Tulane University play their own brand of thoroughly modern jazz. Firmly rooted in the rich and varied musical culture of New Orleans, their music contains elements of funk, Afro-Cuban, and traditional jazz styles, as well as tinges of gospel, brass band, and progressive modern jazz. A rich musical gumbo. With John Doheny saxophones, Jesse McBride piano, John Dobry guitar, Jim Markway bass, Kevin O’Day drums.
