Award-winning composer Stefan Smulovitz plays the viola and the “laptop” – referring to his internationally recognized skills at using a computer as a real-time musical instrument. Composer and vocalist Viviane Houle is a fearless improviser who draws on everything from opera to jazz. Clarinetist Lori Freedman is a renowned avant gardist who collaborates with players like Steve Lacy and has had her compositions recorded on over 40 CDs.
