Not Just Another Music Shop has received much publicity throughout its lifetime. In 1991 it was voted "One of the 10 Best Music Stores' by Details Magazine. In 1997 Canadian Music Trade Magazine did a feature on the store,while the Province simultaneously did a full page article in the Entertainment Section.
This kind of publicity is extremely useful and added to the exposure from artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Bryan Adams, Colin James, Jan Arden, Emy Lou Harris, Spirit of the West, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Los Lobos and Blue Rodeo has made the store a worldwide contender in vintage gear.
