About

Reuben Cherry

Widely hailed as Toronto ’s greatest “rock & soul band,” Reuben Cherry are a six-piece musical juggernaut that has forged a uniquely compelling blend of high-octane ‘70s rock, blues, Memphis soul, lots of rhythm and blues to keep everyone hopping, and even a hint of country. Known for their instrumental fire, gorgeous vocal harmonies, and truly amazing live performances, the band is headed up by lead guitarist (and lead songwriter) Craig Riddock and lead singer Scott McCord. Completing the lineup are “Pineapple” Pete Grey pedal steel, Brad Holy drums, Gary Folka bass, and “Cabbagetown” Steve blues harp. Rooted in the last 30 years of music history but looking towards the future via their special musical blend, uplifting Reuben Cherry are bandstand kings.

“At last, a young group that gets it! The debut CD by Reuben Cherry harkens back to the glory days of yore. ” – Greg Godovitz
