Oscar (Formerly Acidwash) was formed in 2004 in Victoria BC, Canada. The Lineup consists of Colin Piazza (Vocals, Guitar), Alex Purves (Guitar, Vocals), Reuben Ellis (Drums), and Brett Frankson (Bass)
Since 2004' the band has managed to play nearly every Venue on Vancouver Island and the surrounding area, understanding that it takes hard work and dedication to gain exposure.
In August of 2007' Oscar recorded an album with Engineer/Producer Michael Collinge and Mastering Engineer Jamie Sitar of Suite Sound Labs.
Oscar recently played the first annual Pemberton Music festival put on by Livenation. The Festival played host to many bands such as The Tragically Hip, Sam Roberts, Nine Inch Nails, Tom Petty and Jay-Z. The Festival Attracted over 40 thousand fans over 3 days and provided an excellent platform for exposure.
Oscar is currently Playing shows in and Around the Victoria area and will be hitting the road in January of 09' to Alberta. The band will also be playing a Cross Canada tour to Montreal in the summer of 09'. Oscar will be heading back into the studio in in the new year to record/release new material.
