Event Description

The Hot Club of Mars play swinging gypsy jazz with Deanna Knight on vocals, Michael Dunn on guitars, Mark Dowding on sax, flute and harmonica, Steve Szabo on guitars, and Charlie Knowles on bass. Over the years they have performed many times - individually and collectively - at the Rogue Folk Club. Web site: www.hotclubofmars.com.

When the Folk Alliance came to town in 2001 they enjoyed a few good jam sessions with Michael Jerome Browne - a solo performer and occasional member of Montreal's Susie Arioli Swing Band. Michael plays resophonic guitars, mandolin, banjo and Cajun fiddle and has just released his 3rd CD, Michael Jerome Browne and The Twin Rivers String Band. Listening to Michael is like taking a trip to the heart of North American folk music. Web site: www.michaeljeromebrowne.com.

It promises to be an amazing evening of music - and dancing!
