Event Description

Watoto Canada would like to invite you to attend “A Song for Africa” fundraising event on Saturday November 10th, 2012 at the Victoria Conference Centre to help raise awareness, and funds for the African orphans rescued and raised in the Watoto Children’s Villages in Uganda, East Africa.

Today, Watoto is impacting the lives of more than 1,500 children who have been orphaned and abandoned.

The evening event will include a special concert performance by the sensational singing group TENORE. TENORE is an event built around three renowned tenors singing timeless hymns and songs of inspiration. Honoured with three 2011 Gospel Music Awards for GMA National Fan Choice, Traditional/Classical Album of the year and Traditional/Classical Song of the year. This world class trio includes Shane Wiebe, Jason Catron, and Mark David Williams. The group recently performed at the Prime Ministers National Convention in May 2012.

The Watoto “It Takes a Village” photography contest winners will be auctioning off their top three images of their trip to Uganda where they visited Watoto, helping support and raise funds for the cause.
