Event Description

Coco Jafro is here to tap your rhythm vein. Emotionally expressive and improvisational, this electrified jazz fusion band will lead you on an groovy journey from funk to soul, embodying Latin and African beats. The addition of Moroccan born, lead guitarist Amine Said’s musical roots provide an exclusive sound
with the proven power to instantly synchronise your soul.

Continually exposing themselves to various genres of music contributes to the island band’s creative base, advancing their collective musical consciousness whilst developing their ever growing style.

Having released an instrumental EP in 2010, this once (mainly) instrumental band is taking their music to a whole new level. Complete with the lyrical stylings of the soulful Karina Morin, they’ve recently hit the studio to record their newest eclectic mix of dynamic songs for their latest EP. For those of you into the 'jam band' scene, not to worry, for all is not lost- with singles such as ‘Afro time' holding strong to it's instrumental groove, the added variety is sure to be candy for your ears.

Whether the stage is set within the intimate dimness of a jazz club or a bustling outdoor festival,
their precision is executed in the way of the veteran musician. Coco Jafro’s performance is nothing less than inspiring and energetic. Evoking an emotional connection, their music will be resonating within your soul long after your body has left the dance floor.

“Those were the purest vocals I’ve heard in years!”

“Sounds like something we know we haven’t heard yet!”

“There is no other band that moves us like these guys do...”

Influences: Santana, Herbie Hancock, Maceo Parker & Chaka Kah
