A GARAGE, ROCK, PUNK, AND PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC FESTIVAL

Nootka Sound Festival is a Vancouver based music festival with an aim of showcasing some of Vancouver’s greatest local talents. It is privately funded and organized by individuals passionate about Vancouver’s arts scene. This is officially our second year, with a change from last years name being ‘Sunfest’ (www.sunfestvancouver.com).
The change in name is due partly to a change in concept - last year was almost entirely local musicians, this year we wanted to introduce a few international headliners; we feel that in order to truly showcase Vancouver’s local talent, we need to attract a larger international audience by bringing in larger international artists.
