Event Description

"CFSW Poetry Slam: Bouts #5 and #7" :: 7:00 - 9:00 PM, 9:00 - 11:00 PM :: $12 (regular) $7 (student)

Four teams compete in a four-round poetry slam judged by the audience. Poetry slam is a competition in which poets present original work without the use of costumes, props, or musical accompaniment, within a three minute time limit.


"Beat Rhythm" :: 11:00 PM - 1:00 AM :: $15 (regular) $10 (student)

Wednesday night's alright (for dancing) while words ride the wheels of steel. Hip hop is an alchemy of elements which include the word at their core. The MC has been a party rocker, showstopper, storyteller and poet - and all things in-between. We are excited to bring together these coastal rhymesayers to work the wizardry on the microphone while the beat holds down on the ones and twos.
