THE ELIXXXERS present a night of Surf, Ska-Punk and Soul as they release “East Side” Thursday April 2nd at The Biltmore Cabaret (2755 Prince Edward St) in Vancouver BC. Doors 8:30pm, Music 9pm; Cover $15/$10 Advance; With guests The Ponderosas, Everybody Left , and Cawama.
“East Side” is the second album from The Elixxxers, a fixture on Vancouver’s live scene, bringing you the best blend of ska, reggae, pop, punk and rock. The Elixxxirs have shared the stage with international bands including The Slackers and Neville Staples of The Specials and have joined forces with many Vancouver bands, helping develop a raging live scene that belies Vancouver's "no fun city" reputation. Don't miss them on stage, and don't even try to come away from it sober.

The Ponderosas merge soul, funk, reggae and R&B into a truly unique sound - described as “world-pop-party-fusion”, these dynamic performers have been setting dance floors at clubs and festivals on fire with their contagious grooves and sweet soulful melodies, and have opened for reggae/pop superstar Shaggy, dance hall legend Barrington Levy, and rapper Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def). “Until Dawn”(2014), their latest release, has been reviewed as “musically intelligent and undeniably groovy” (Capilano Courier), “rich sultry vocals; high-energy, irresistibly danceable” (Geyser Music), and “a big splash of sunshine after a long cold winter” (BC Musician Magazine).

Hailing from Victoria, Outer-City recording artists Everybody Left plays a dirty pop cold fusion of lo-fi funk blues mixed with a reluctant reggae vibe and a post-ska/alternative hip-hop flavour. Everybody Left is currently working on their next release, a follow-up to 2012’s self-titled EP.

Surf/Punk garage-rock revivalists, Cawama formed in 2012, combining influences of 80's and 90's garage rock with a 70's and 80's old-school punk and surf to create a fresh new groove. Cawama is currently supporting their debut EP “Feedback”, recorded at the Nimbus School of Recording Arts.
