Event Description

CFUV 101.9 FM Victoria's Campus Community Radio Station, City of Victoria & DVBA are proud to bring you the Eventide Music Series in its second year!

The 10-week long series will feature both local and touring bands every Thursday from July 2-September 3, 2015 from 5-9pm. All shows will take place at Centennial Square in downtown Victoria, are completely FREE, all ages and will have a beer garden and food trucks.

Thursday, July 9 features a night curated by GARDEN CITY GROOVES (http://gardencitygrooves.com/)!

Kárà-Kátà Afrobeat Group, from Vancouver, is currently setting the BC music scene ablaze with its full-power renditions of classic West African Afrobeat tracks popularized by the late, great Fela Kuti as well as their own original material. Afrobeat music blends funk, jazz, highlife, psychedelic rock, and traditional rhythms in a whirlwind of ecstatic sound.
