Cougars in America are touring Canada in a GMC Motorhome from a long-lost future and recording their new album in a series of 24-hour music videos made along the way. They've already started with "Walls" and "Echoes"! Scott Hamilton and Erik Schoepen, armed with a bus load of creativity and a camera, will make their way from Vancouver Island to Montreal with stops in cities and towns along the way from October until December.
Cougars in America is the alt-folk project of Canadian-turned-Bruxellois singer-songwriter, Scott Hamilton. Poet, multi-instrumentalist, and troubadour, he transforms his world into song. Taking his name from a cat that lives on only in popular myth, his lyrics express an image of humanity lost, tragic, comic and beautiful. Armed with his guitar, harmonicas, stylophone, loopstation and voice, he creates an atmosphere that is intimate, sincere, and overwhelming. Erik Schoepen will accompany him with the sweet sounds of his dobro, lapsteel, mandolin, resonator and electric guitar to all of these songs.
