// Noble Son //
Born and raised in Northern Canada, Adam Kirschner aka Noble Son, spent long winters in isolation, developing his unique brand of songwriting. Inspired by themes of anxiety, self pity, obsessive joy and also rage, his creations often walk a line between endearing subtly and wild animalism.

Said to be “channeling a young Jim Carrey”, Kirschner is something of an oddity in the indie-folk genre, with live performances as hilarious as they are heartfelt. His shows, featuring soaring vocals, beautiful harmonies and gentle reprieves, are punctuated by chaotic crescendos and timely comic relief.

Noble Son’s upcoming release “Life Isn’t Fun” (Spring 2020) is his most ambitious work to date. Featuring contributions from Erik Nielsen (We Are The City, Deep Dark Woods), Andrew Rasmussen (Hey, Ocean!, Hannah Georgas), Alex Dobson (Old Man Canyon, David Beckingham) and more - “Life Isn’t Fun” showcases some of Canada’s finest talents.

// Dusknote //
Dusknote is a collection of moments that were compiled and refined over several years by singer/guitarist Adam Parent. Entwining moody, gliding melodies and the influences of lo-fi rock, blues and life-lessons together is what gives meat to the bone of Adam’s songs.

After a number of solo shows in Canada and Australia, Adam invited drummer Marc Lovisa and bassist Keegan Scott into the fold to add the depth and dynamic needed to flesh out Dusknote’s sound. Based in Vancouver, BC, they have been performing Adam’s music as a trio since 2017.

// Jay Gavin //
From his scuffed boots, to his calloused hands to his giant cowboy hat, Jay’s genuine, blue collar authenticity is irresistible. The son of a fisherman, in the isolated Prince Edward Island town of Tignish, Jay grew up surrounded by a large family and rural community of talented pickers and singers, steeped in bluegrass, country and folk. Moving west, Jay played bass guitar; recording and touring in several successful punk/metal/rock bands (Huskavarna, Speedealer [Texas], Grasscity etc.) for the better part of two decades. Coming into his own as an energetic, free-spirited songwriter and frontman, Jay followed his heart and went back to his roots in folk country, taking inspiration from his hero’s like John Prine and Hayes Carll.

Summer 2018, saw Jay at Vancouver’s Hipposonic Studio with producer Jeff Zipp. The 8 original tracks feature richer arrangements, a bluegrassy feel and some of Jay’s best song writing, both compelling and catchy. “I’ll feel the fool tomorrow, but right now I’m feeling okay” Jay belts out in the rowdy, good ol’-country drinking song The Bottle. Taking inspiration from every day life, drinking songs are not uncommon but show both his sense of humour and his maturity. “I wonder what it’d be like if I just stopped drinkin’…would all the good people I know dry up and die?” he sings in the achingly beautiful, What if Eye. The recordings feature The Tired Sunday Choir, this time including two long time collaborators, Jesse Brint on lead guitar and Rye Lundy as well as Viper Central’s Kathleen Nisbett and Patrick Metzger on fiddle and bass, Owen B. Connell on organ, Sam Balsen on banjo, mandolin and harmony vocals shared with the inimitable, Cassidy Waring.
