Raised by late Texas blues guitarist Johnny Clyde Copeland, soul is in the blood of this hair-raising powerhouse vocalist. A singing sensation since she was a child, Shemekia has toured with legends like B.B. King, Dr. John, and Buddy Guy.

A Brooklyn-based native of Augusta, Georgia, vocalist Sharon Jones is a true old-school soul diva who fronts a smokin’ funk octet in the style of the classic soul bands of the late ‘60s/early ‘70’s.
