Event Description

A multi-sensory celebration of a sustainable future.

The Cloud 9 Electronic Music & Eco-Art Festival returns September 8-10, 2023.

Together in nature, we celebrate our appreciation for art, music, local food, community and our dedication to a sustainable future. Join us again on September 9th, 2023, for a day filled with live music, engaging workshops, a pop-up market, new outdoor eco-art installations, and the opportunity to contribute to an interactive mosaic sculpture.

Festival lineup

Drawing on the success of outdoor sets from Boiler Room and Cercle, we have created a space that re-imagines the live electronic music experience. Our lineup of sought after local and international artists, combined with our beautiful natural environment and sustainability-focused mission, will truly immerse you in a unique and memorable festival.

Activities

A full day of live DJ sets that contain ambient, pop, tribal, house, and techno musical influences:

  • Local food, drink and craft vendors

  • Large scale, professional eco, art installations

  • Interactive opportunities for guests

  • Sustainability and healthy living workshops

  • On-site camping is available the night before and the night of the festival

Camping

Guest camping available onsite the night before and the night of the festival, along with some shared meals and activities. This is a unique opportunity to connect with the artists and our amazing community of like-minded individuals. Don't miss out on this multi-sensory celebration of a sustainable future!

Tickets and passes

To maintain intimacy, a limited number of tickets will be sold. So, if you are interested, we recommend you secure a spot for yourself and your close friends in advance. By participating in this event, you will also be supporting our mission to promote climate action. All funds raised during this festival will be donated to the climate action charity, No.9.

Early bird prices are in effect now, as follows:

  • General admission tickets are $59.99 each

  • Camping passes are $74.99 each (includes a Saturday Day Pass + camping on Saturday night only + community breakfast and activities on Sunday morning)

  • All-access tickets are $84.99 each (includes a Saturday Day Pass to Cloud 9 Festival + camping on Friday & Saturday night + community breakfast and activities on Friday night and Sunday morning)

Tickets and passes can be purchased in advance online from TicketTailor here.

Event transportation

As you plan your journey to the festival, please keep in mind that, as of now, there is no public transportation or shuttle buses available. However, we encourage carpooling and have set up a carpooling group discussion on our Facebook page for you to connect with other festival-goers.

Parking

For those planning to drive, we have on-site parking available. Purchase your parking pass on our ticketing site before September 5th for $10, or buy it on-site for $15 (card payments only). We kindly ask our guests to use our designated parking lot out of respect and consideration for the community surrounding the festival. Parking on the roadside poses a safety hazard and can disrupt the flow of traffic, which is why law enforcement will be ticketing and towing any cars parked outside of our lot. We want to ensure that all of our guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, which is why we highly recommend purchasing a parking pass for our lot. Not only does it guarantee you a spot, but all proceeds go towards supporting a charitable cause.

A fundraiser for No.9 Gardens

Launched in the fall of 2018, in partnership with Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre, No.9 Gardens is a hands-on teaching facility created to empower youth to lead a revolution in building resilient communities.

No.9 Gardens, the venue for this event, was created two years ago as a space for the next generation to be fully immersed in the practice and promotion of sustainable living. It has been created to showcase hands-on sustainable living practices that encourage collaboration, resilience, and living in harmony with nature. This includes programming in growing one’s own food, off the grid living, and immersing oneself in nature.

Cloud 9 is a Fundraiser event for the environmental education and food donation programs run at No.9 Gardens. The event is organized by a committee of 12 young entrepreneurs, artists, and musicians between the ages of 21 to 26. Our purpose is to nurture creativity and imagination and promote the vital role arts, local food, and culture play in creating a sustainable community. We hope to create a space for the next generation that fosters cultural dialogue and change, as well as raise funding and awareness for the programs at No.9 Gardens.

“As citizens of this younger generation, we have a lot of anxieties and fears about climate change, colonial violence and, of course, this ongoing pandemic. We are channeling our energy into curating this festival because we believe in the power of art and music to inspire social and environmental change. Out of this festival, we hope to foster community and build a youth-led cultural shift in our society.”
~ Reily Morrison, Director of Cloud 9
