Event Description

Picastro is a long-running Toronto progenitor of sadcore/slowcore art rock, ambient folk. The band has toured extensively in North America and Europe alongside acts such as Sharon Van Etten, Xiu Xiu and Broken Social Scene and has appeared on BBC 6, WFMU and VPRO in the Netherlands. https://picastro.bandcamp.com/

Funeral Lakes is an indie rock/dream pop project currently based in Kingston, Ontario. After a well-received debut album and a series of EPs, Funeral Lakes has expanded their blend of shoegaze and folk, finding regular rotation on campus and community radio across Canada. https://funerallakes.bandcamp.com/

Folk-rock collective Princess Towers take their name from a 1970s apartment building widely derided as Kingston’s biggest eyesore. Like their namesake, they embrace a startling mix of familiar and strange, sound architectural principles and audacious design choices. https://princesstowers.bandcamp.com/

Poplar, featuring Kieran Labbe, Michael Broadhead and Liam Fenton, are an indie-ish band from Kingston Ontario with songs featuring intricately arranged lyrics and melodies.
