Event Description

Aventa Ensemble opens their 2005-2006 with Gavin Bryars' extraordinarily beautiful work, The Sinking of the Titanic. Much of its success lies in the combination of minimalist compositional techniques along with the emotional impact of hymns. This concert also features the Canadian premiere of Rodney Sharman's In Praise of Shadows and works by Christopher Butterfield, Allison Cameron and John Celona.
