Event Description

Post Modern Productions' THE WAR OF THE WORLDS will be a show unlike any other.

Through the use of narration, vocals, live music, 3D animation, slide projections and theatrical & laser lighting, the audience will witness the re-telling of the classic
H. G. Wells tale of the invasion of Earth by aliens from Mars.

Featuring Jurgen Gothe of CBC Radio Two’s DiscDrive and a live 5-piece band, the viewer will be taken on a rollercoaster ride of sight and spectacle.

Written originally in 1978 by Jeff Wayne, this new modern “electronified” version will utilize the ideal venue to the utmost. The H. R. MacMillan Planetarium has been the host for many shows over the years, including Pink Floyd Laser Light, Laser U2, Laser Led-Zeppelin, and most recently Laser Coldplay.

Post Modern Productions plans on taking what these shows have done a step further with a live camera feed, projections (both moving and still), laser and theatrical lights, multi-media and high-energy electronic techno music - all mixed in 5.1 surround sound.

THE WAR OF THE WORLDS will truly be a spectacular event no one will want to miss!
