Event Description

٩(˘◡˘)۶ for when you want a chill kind of fun
and a fun kind of chill ٩(˘◡˘)۶

Take a break from the everyday and step into the light sound library audio visual spa featuring whimsical ambient soundscapes and computer animation dreamscapes. This early evening activity is free, all ages, sensory friendly, and v chill.

Light Sound Library is the new project of Crystal Dorval (White Poppy, Sanity Soap), a therapeutic music resource library that uses playfulness to make wellness easy and fun. This is the first time music from the library will be shared in a live setting, and it is intended to be a nourishing offering.

Drop ins and outs welcome. The event will be followed by a group chat.

Schedule:

6:00-7:00 pm Doors / Ambient Lounge Drop In

Chill out lounge w/ ambient sound spa by Light Sound Library & auroratone visuals

Come early and cozy up in the lounge before the show begins. You can bring your knitting project, a sketchbook, or just be.

7:00-7:30 pm Screening Shorts

Celebrating the magical and wonderful world of early computer animation with a handful of playful shorts:
> The Cosmic Turtle “The big ride”
> Carla’s island (1981)
> Snoot and muttly (1984)
> “Dopamine video mix” w/ sound track by Light Sound Library

7:30-8:00 pm Film screening with live score

Dreamscape video remix with live score

> Selections from the Mind’s Eye animation collection with live score by Light Sound Library

8:00-9:00 Discussion Lounge

Stick around after the screenings for a Q&A / Group Chat n’ lounge
