Event Description

Travel through a century of wind band tradition in this nostalgic and forward-looking concert. The UVic Concert Band presents Retro, a program that reflects on the evolving sound of the modern wind ensemble—from early symphonic band classics to vibrant contemporary voices. Featuring works by Alfred Reed, Charles Carter, Cait Nishimura, Frank Ticheli, and more, the performance highlights the colours, energy, and expressive possibilities that have shaped wind band music over the last 100 years. Conducted by Taylor Takach.

For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.

For events that run over a range of consecutive dates. i.e. Art show, museum show etc.
