September 21 to October 31
‘SeaForms: The Nature of Creation’
THE CHAPEL GALLERY
Jill Ehlert’s new mixed media collage series explores intertidal ecosystems; their cycles of growth, decay and deterioration. Japanese "Washi" paper is manipulated through contemporary techniques of burning and piercing holes, tearing and cutting. These processes yield abstract forms that echo the shapes, patterns and processes of this natural world.
Grand opening of this new gallery 5-7pm. Artist talk 5:30pm.
Hours: Monday & Saturday 10-2 and Wednesdays 9:30-11:30
St. Matthias 600 Richmond Avenue, entrance and parking off Richardson Street.
